Although Andrew Woolls-King gained a BSc honours degree in Physics from London University in 1993, his passion to become a science and technology journalist drove him to join market-leading B2B titles Electronic Production and Test magazines in 1995.
After just two years as assistant editor in 1997, he became the first ever electronics trade journalist to become the PTC/PPA UK New Business Journalist of the Year, and won public acclaim for being what the judging panel (which comprised some of the UK's top consumer magazine editors) described as: "an excellent writer with a particular ability to bring life and originality to what could otherwise be dry technical subjects".
Through his work for Ecritech, Andrew has developed a deep instinct for what works and what doesn't work in high technology press relations and marketing and spends a significant amount of time sharing his expertise and knowledge with clients from whom he in turn continues to learn on an almost daily basis.
Andrew is a director of Ecritech and currently based in the UK.
Steven Keeping started his career as a junior physicist with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA). During his three-year employment at UKAEA, Steven completed an HNC in Applied Physics. He then went to Brighton University to obtain an honours degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering.
Upon graduating in 1986, Steven joined instrumentation manufacturer Eurotherm as an electronics manufacturing engineer, moving on after five years to the electronics division of Edwards High Vacuum (part of BOC).
In 1993 Steven joined Electronic Production magazine, taking over the editor's role later that year and regularly contributing technical, business and interview articles. He held the position until 1998 when he was promoted to publisher of all Trinity Mirror's electronics titles.
Between September 2000 and December 2001 Steven edited CMP's What's New in Electronics on a freelance basis. Steven moved to Sydney, Australia in 2002 to edit Reed Business Information's EDN Australia and Electronics News magazines, while establishing Ecritech's presence in South-East Asia. In January 2006, Steven became a full-time Ecritech director.
