Why ECRITECH was established
ECRITECH was established to close a gap we saw again and again: excellent ideas and strong research that never became real projects, and valuable projects whose results ended when the funding did. We wanted to create an organisation that connects research, technology, entrepreneurship and international collaboration — and stays with ideas until they create measurable value.
We chose Estonia, one of the world’s most advanced digital societies, as our home. From Tallinn we combine a European identity and European standards with a global outlook, working with partners across Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and beyond.
Our approach is multidisciplinary by design. Our work connects research, education, health, technology and entrepreneurship, because today’s challenges — ageing societies, digital transformation, climate change and skills gaps — never respect disciplinary boundaries.
We are committed to international collaboration. We believe the best solutions are built together: by universities and companies, public authorities and NGOs, investors and independent experts.
